Will having a videographer be disruptive to the day?

My goal is for you to forget I'm there.  My biggest frustration when watching wedding videos is when I can tell they've recreated a scene from multiple angles.  This can look polished and fancy, but to me it just lacks authenticity.  Your day will have so many moments full of love and laughter that I don't want to try and fabricate anything; I'll find the beauty naturally.   That said, your photographer will stage some photos & I'll use that opportunity get some beauty shots without making you jump through hoops.

What kind of camera do you use?

I use (2) Canon 5D Mark II with Canon lenses and use an additional Canon Vixia G20 for coverage of the ceremony.

I prefer it!  I'd love to grab a coffee and meet the bride & groom before a contract gets signed.   Getting to be a fly on the wall for such an intimate and personal day is a privilege and it's important that I'm someone who makes you feel comfortable.

What is necessary for us to put you on hold for our date?

A non-refundable deposit of $750 and a signed contract is required for us to hold your date.   All services must be paid for 14 days prior to the event.

Do you shoot photography as well?

Sadly, I don't offer these services, but I do play well with other photographers and am happy to coordinate with them during the day to try and make the experience as smooth as possible.  I hear horror stories from photographers who can't get a videographer to move a camera for a moment so they can take a wide photo of the ceremony without a tripod in it.  We're both there for YOU and I'm a team player.

Will you record the audio of the ceremony & Toasts?

I use wireless mics to record the ceremony & toasts so that when watching the film the sound quality is just as high as the image.

Can I have a hard drive of all the footage?

Absolutely.  For the cost of the hard drive (or you can give me a hard drive) I'm happy to put all the footage of the day for you to have.  But be warned - it's a lot of footage!

IS your music licensed?  Can I post the videos on Youtube + Facebook?

Yes.  I buy licenses for all of our music from libraries like Song Freedom.  If you use unlicensed music, you won't be able to post your video on most social media outlets.  This is the primary reason I have additional pricing for the ceremony and toast add-ons.  The additional screen time means purchasing more music licensing.

Can we pick our music or have you use our song?

Because I license our music from song libraries, I can't promise that every song will be available to us.  I hope that you will trust that I understand the role music plays in our films and will pick music that sets the right tone.
